The New Zealand Rhododendron Association is a group of enthusiasts of the genus Rhododendron particularly and other plants generally, from those with little, to those with a wealth of knowledge of rhododendrons and indeed most plants. They reside widely throughout New Zealand and there are several international members. Members are kept informed by a number of newsletters during the year, an annual Bulletin of some 100 pages including interesting articles on subjects relative to the Association's aims and supported by quality colour photographs.
The highlight of the year for a lot of members is perhaps the annual conference, held generally in alternating Islands of NZ, usually in late October/early November, a prime flowering time for rhododendrons in New Zealand. Conferences are a time to renew old friendships, make new ones and enjoy gardens and speakers of the highest quality.

Throughout New Zealand there are independent regional Rhododendron Groups who work closely with the New Zealand Rhododendron Association. Contacts for these Groups are listed under the Local Group List, click here to go to the list.
