This is the website of Heritage Park, the former garden of the NZRA, now administered by a Charitable Trust. The park has a comprehensive collection of New Zealand hybrid rhododendrons and azaleas accompanied by many trees. There is a rhododendron trial garden which is part of NZRA trial gardens throughout NZ.

Orton Bradley Park, Charteris Bay,

The garden at Orton Bradley Park is a comprehensive collection of old and new rhododendron hybrids as well as a large collection of New Zealand raised and registered hybrids. Also contained in the garden is a comprehensive rhododendron species collection...including many rare varieties. As well as the rhododendrons there is an extensive array of companion plants including some rare, small, companion trees. The garden is the special garden of the Canterbury Rhododendron Society and is part of the extensive, historical, Orton Bradley Park, a farm park, on the edge of Charteris Bay in Lyttleton Harbour.

Tannock Glen

One of Dunedin's hidden treasures, the specialist rhododendron collection at Tannock Glen has been built up since 1975 by members of the Dunedin Rhododendron Group. A large number of rare species collected from the wild plus choice local hybrids are able to be seen from the gravelled paths through the four acre site. Mature trees and unusual shrubs complement this magical woodland garden overlooking the Dunedin harbour.

Tannock Glen is open all year.
